A few days before the G8 in Russia we found out that there was no indymedia list for the exchange of information about the summit, the actions, about how international imc'istas can contribute to independent reporting and how to support the russian-language IMC. So far there were new lists for each G8. This list is meant for everybody who is interested in G8 summits where ever they are, for easier exchange of information, experiences, ideas from the past and for the future. This list is open for everyone to subscribe, has public archives, is open for non-members to post, but does have some moderation so that discussions stay focussed on indymedia work at G8 summits. The list is also meant to help share knowledge from one G8 indymedia collective to the next. Basically it is for everyone who is generally interested in G8 issues and who would like to contribute no matter where it is - these people could just stay subscribed - as well as for those people who want a general list for the specific next upcoming G8 - they will subscribe some time before the summit and unsubscribe when it's over. Or maybe find out that the G8 will stay with them for a long time and that actually it's a good thing to pass on information ;) . There is also a channel #g8 at irc.indymedia.org. Раньше каждый год создаввался новый лист. Эта рассылка предназначена для всех, кто заинтересован данной проблемой в целом, независимо от страны в которой проходит саммит. Она упростит обмен информацией, опытом прошлых лет и идеями на будущее. Лист открыт для подписки любому желающему, имеет открытый архив и принимает сообщения от с незарегистрированых в листе адресов, но модерируется с тем чтобы сохранять дискуссию в рамках тематики работы индимедии во время саммитов Б8. Лист также предназначен помочь передаче знаний от коллектива ведущего проблему Большой восьмёрки в теущем году - следующему коллективу. То-есть, эта рассылка как для тех кто интересуется проблемой вобщем - эти люди могут оставатся подписаны на рассылку и после саммита, так и для тех кто нуждается в основном информационном листе по вопросу конкретного грядущего саммита - эти люди могут подписыватся до начала очередной Б8, и отписаться по окончании. Впрочем, если кто-то решит, что это могло бы быть его темой на более длительный срок - замечательно. ;) . Также существует канал #g8 на irc.indymedia.org. Subscribing to Imc-g8
Subscribe to Imc-g8 by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a public list, which means that the list of members list is available to everyone. (but we obscure the addresses so they are not easily recognizable by spammers). Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
