hey,

glad to see this happening of course.

i'm curious thought, roving, is there a reason why you haven't
included any examples of past summaries?

seems like that is a good prod for any working group to see what has
been done before and how it's so cool. it also shows there's been a
precedent (as my lengthy email before discussed). i guess if you
don't think it's a good idea, i'd love to hear why before you send it
out. it seems like a no brainer to me. i think that there is a
reason people haven't been doing summaries before and i'm not sure
that this email or idea really solves it. i think at the very least
letting them know about these have been done and they were really
cool and everyone loved them is one step toward inspiring people.

here are the ones from summaries archive primarily but also a few i
could locate on comm and process. for examples, we can pick and
choose one from each category. i have sent the tech and new imc
summaries to both those lists since their wiki pages did not include
these summaries.

(NOTE: this isn't a summary per se but more just highlights across the lists.)

i also thnk perhaps there's a difference between a big year end
summary that includes answers to the questions you ask in the
invitation and regular weekly or monthly (ideal)
updates/highlights/proposals/decisions. maybe this is a good way for
us to get caught up on alot of activities over the course of the past
(timeframe is still unclear to me - year?, 6 months, 2 years? 3
months?) and then begin a regular practice.

ciao
sheri

ps - it's pretty amazing to read through the summaries from the past
and see where we've been, how far we've come in certain ways and how
little progress we've made in certain areas. some of those areas
seem to me to be the difficult places, as well as strategic
structural leverage points for our healthy growth as an interntaional
network (decentralized or not)....
