Hmmm. Can someone from the global team (like me) help out, just to get
a minimal update about the huge news in the region on your front page?
I know IMC-India isn't 'official,' but I'd love for the global IMC
to link to the stuff on your newswire about the Delhi protests,
and that will direct people to your main page afterwards. Your
current top headline is just too ironic: "TRAGEDY OF SILENCE."

I don't want to override any local processes, I just want to help!

*IF* it's OK, I'll run some suggested text by the folks on this
list, linking to *all* those good newswire stories. Then if the text
is OK, I've got access to stallman, I can get your password there
to edit the page using features.cgi. Maybe that can be the start of
more feature-writing work on this list? You need to get a bunch
of people involved because everyone burns out once in a while.

I'd also be happy to stay on this list to talk about the redesign--
not look-and-feel, but how to actually implement it--we're doing a big
redesign in New York, too. See: http://nyc2.indymedia.org/ If
you've looked at the code yet, it's a bit like a bowl of spaghetti. :-)

If not, just let me know, but you guys are a great resource
for a more local perspective, even if you don't feel that you have
everything ready yet. If you don't want to JUST feature the
anti-war stuff (if you think that would trivialize other local
issues), let me know and let's see if we can work something out.

Thanks, and peace...
