Baobabconnections organises online competition about globalisation

1. Project description
Baobabconnections is a youth project about globalisation funded by the Dut=
ch 
government and Dutch funding organisations. Baobabconnections is creating =
an 
online platform where youth conscious youth can share information about 
globalisation. At first our focus is on Holland and Africa, but we would l=
ike to 
grow into a truly worldwide network. 

2. Online Competition  
We are encouraging young people from Holland and Africa to get together on=
 
this website and exchange ideas about globalisation. To stimulate the 
interaction on the website, and to raise awareness about issues of globali=
sation, 
Baobabconnections organises an online essay competition.  

We will send out the winning teams to be reporters for Baobabconnections 
during the Women=92s World Conference in Uganda and the Earth Summit in 
South Africa. 

The deadline for the Uganda competition is June 16th 2002. 
The deadline for the South Africa competition is July 1st 2002.
