hi

i am indeed in favour of .indymedia.org.uk accounts where there is a clear
*technical* reason to set them up.

'social' reasons like "it would be really neat", "a bonding experience",
"a cool thing to do" are the sort of thing that's best avoided, IMHO.

group accounts such as sheffield at indymedia.org are technically useful as
the sheffield account is redirected to the imc-sheffield-contact list
which goes to a handful of list subscribers. this list is privately
archived like the imc-uk-contact list and the whole arrangement works very
well.

i remain to be convinced of any clear technical advantages to establishing
personal .indymedia.org.uk addresses, i'm afraid.

just 2 cents...
