That's allright, It is probably all my fault for circulating the
original indycymru group with the statement of intent that Portugal used
to get accepted as IMC and suggesting that indycymru took the same
position. That was fully open publishing with no hiding, but argue
everything. I was not then aware of the difficulties that would come
if any irresponsible hooligan (I am being rude to hooligans there
perhaps) can post anything into the group so that it becomes impossible
to cope with the flood. I do not know if that happened in Portugal
but I have heard that things became too much for them and they merged
with Galicia.
I am a bit sensitive about witch hunts because apart from personal
experience where I learned the importance of other people speaking up,
two of the more imporant people in my life were the victims of witch
hunts. One spent eight years in one of Stalin's Gulags. The best
interpretation on the other person is that he was shot for deserting the
International Brigade to go to find out for himself what was happening
in Catalonia. Can anyone can tell me where I read the worst
interpretation,- someone taxing Hemmingway for not reporting an
execution of gagged people ordered by an International Brigade
political Commissar who said they were fascist spies?
Do not worry, it is all a learning experience. Which is what I try to
make indycymru, and a symbolic link from conquered Wales to the
international community of nations. perhaps a daft idea, but there is
indycymru sourced stuff on IMCs from Al something-or-other to
Zimbabwe. via DC and Hawaii. Someone even said thankyou.
That went last night only to Planet Mail. It was intended for the list.
The more diversity there is within an organisation, the stronger it
is. It may not be possible for a Portuguese style IMC to fit into
United Collectives, and it may not be possible for such to exist without
the obstacle of typing in any name, and a real email address to get your
personal password, keeping out casual wreckers.
There are groups in Cardiff, Aberystwyth, and posssibly Bangor and
Swansea who could form UK IMC groups. Some of them contain some people
who are so anti welsh it is better they do not set up as a Wales IMC.
Others might be OK.
Regards
Ilyan
