the members of france.indymedia team 
who will allow you to understand what 
arrived in france.indymedia (strike and rupture of 
the team, 
hope of a new team and disappointment 
in front of the not exist of this team).
The site should be closed as fast as possible.

Hi everybody

you all know that IMC France has been doing so so for
some weeks. Some people 
wanted to start up a new team with some new projects
but till now it has 
failed. 

As a consequence the site has not been moderated for
some time now and 
many messages have been left on the newswire that most
of us find racist and
antisemitic. Moreover it is not updated, *nobody* took
part of irc public 
meetings that where announced on the site,
france at indymedia.org is non
answering (mailbox full, recently), and the imc-france
mailling list can be 
considered flatline.

So we'd like to shut it down, at least for a while,
the time we 
find other solutions. Some of us are definitely
willing to keep on being active 
on Indymedia and have been discussing on what is
possible to do from now on.  
But it will take some time and we don't want to see
IMC France kept on being 
squatted by extreme-right groups and idiots.

I think closing IMC France becomes more and more an
emergency, regarding the latest messages posted:

As the person who wanted to relaunch France Indymedia
these last months changed all the access codes and
kept them for himself we don't have the possibility of
hiding these crap messages. It is not possible either
to ask him to do it as he hasn't answered any mail for
weeks and isn't active any more on mailing lists.

You all know the latest results in polls in France. We
can't accept to see indymedia france squatted by
racist and antisemite groups, especially now. We've
all fought for years against fascism. We've been
demonstrating for days and prepping actions. it makes
me puke to help developped a website where only racial
hate is called.

hi,

good news. while nobody's replying at e-mails and the
mailling list is dead,
it looks like a new team has started working on
constituting a new
imc-fr collective.

i've met one of them at the (nice:) antifa demo today
and what he explained
me looked pretty nice, and they'll have a meeting
soon.

so, chances are something nice will happen to imc.fr

Hello,

There is regrettably no new team france.indymedia in
construction, there is just an operation of the 
one who made explode the previous team to 
prevent the lock of the site that he use as visiting 
card.

The problem in the previous team appeared 
because one of its members (Gilles Klein) abandoned
the work with the team on the contents 
of the site and preferred to dedicate himself to the 
promotion of its name in the officials media (a 
small research on internet (Gilles Klein + 
indymedia) will show you the importance of this 
promotion).

He gave numerous interviews, and participated in 
debates as self-proclaimed representative 
(founder / presenter / responsible) for France. 
Indymedia. 
He made this without warning the other members 
of the team, in a totally hidden way. The interviews
given by the other members of the team were 
discussed in the team, those who answered used
a pseudo or a first name (so that it is not there 
stardom) and they made  the promotion of the 
concept of indymedia or Indymedia sites.

The progressive discovery (on the Web) of the 
interviews and actions of GK's promotion, 
provoked in front of its refusal to change attitude a 
progressive strike of the members of the team 
(Mathias, then Tatahari, then Massalia). 
I should as well clarify that GK always managed to 
take no risk, he never went on any summit. Is only 
participation was in Millau (with Massalia and me) 
where the French site was born. On one summit, 
he prevented us only 2 hours before the departure 
that contrary to what he had said, it did not come. 
And when we were in the demonstrations to work
on the central column of the site, he gave 
interviews, hidden well in Paris. (I know, all this  
history look like a couple who divorces)

The " news" equips Indymedia made by GK 
consists of 2 persons (Arno and Wilfrid) that we 
already seen crossing in our public meetings and 
which was pointed out by their weak contributions
on Indymedia. 
This team (Gilles / Arno / Wilfrid) already has its 
declaration of principles (Gilles -->

and already take charge of the site for more 
than a month. The site was little updated and they 
allowed to pass numerous publications of fascist 
insults, some call to murder and now call to vote 
for Le Pen. With this "team", there is not chance 
that the site will be different from what it is at 
present .

Untill now we were evasive on the internal problem
(we spoke just about problem in the working 
distribution), you know now what was behind this 
chaste term. I clarify that we never have problem to
work with our differences of political beliefs. But it

appeared a personal problem with somebody who worked
in our back on its personal stardom.

Journalists met in the demonstrations in Paris 
begin to ask questions on the anti-semitic 
publications which stayed on the site. It is quickly 
necessary to close the French site before an article
in Le Monde carries damage to all the Indymedia 
sites.

Gilles was a friend since the student strikes of 
1986, I trusted on him. I made a mistake, I am very
disappointed. I did not intend to spread out all the 
internal problems, but having no technical 
possibility of closing the site, I can only recover it
to
you to close it quickly.
