The front page does look good :), I'm delighted to see things getting back into
place after so many, many months (more than a year?) of low activity.

However, this is only the beginning...

Could I suggest that you folks do (4) below which was part of the
new-imc discussion for getting the site back up, for example (4a),
(4b), (4c)?

This means it is not enough to tell people that something is being
done, you should explain at least a little about the new-imc process,
and make it *very clear* that *all* readers of the site are welcome
and encouraged to come along to face-to-face meetings in order to
organise a new collective (as long as they are comfortable with IMC
principles), and this includes all sorts of socially active groups,
not just people who call themselves anarchists, and you should have
links to:

(4a) this mailing list (at least to the archive, e.g.

http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/public/imc-prague/2002-May/thread.html

but maybe also how to send an email to the list, how to subscribe)

(4b) the page http://newimc.indymedia.org

(4c) A clear invitation to each meeting, e.g. that on Friday 10 May 2002:

http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/public/imc-prague/2002-May/005910.html

And IMHO, this feature should remain *at the top* of the central
column.

The way the present centre column looks, my worry is that people who
feel uncomfortable with some of the words and symbols of "anarchy",
but who would be enthusiastic about Indymedia, could think (by
ignorance) that a new "anarchist" group is going to run the site and
that others ("socialists", "environmentalists", non-"ists") are not
welcome. I'm sure you don't mean this, and that with a bit of effort
(e.g. (4a), (4b), (4c) above) you could make the centre column feature
clearer and more inviting and effective.

Pozdrawiam
