outreach:
As agreed in our provisional planning we have kept on our website a notice explaining that we are re-forming as a new IMC and publicising the next meeting.
 We have produced flyers, posters and stickers to spread the word in the streets and venues of Prague. We have emailed a number of groups campaigning on a wide range of issues, in to order to get them to use indymedia as a resource and also to inform the people working there that indymedia is running again, and hopefully involve them in an individual capacity. Just  recently we have made contact with  a man (Peter) who has a number of contacts from his attempt to resuscitate the IMC, so we will be 
We feel also that having the website up and running as an alternative news source is the best policy to encourage people to get involved.
Plans for the future include benefit gigs and a film night to tie in with Global Media Democracy Day (October 18)

The Czech IMC is an necessary project because in the Czech Republic there is a severe lack of alternative media. Apart from minority publications, there is only one alternative newspaper (Respekt) and one alternative website (www.bristkylisty.cz) The problem is exacerbated by the refusal of many groups of differing aims or politics to work together on shared issues. Thus green groups are suspicious of communists and environmentalists shun anarchists. It is of course a common problem worldwide. 
The task then as we see it for the Czech IMC is then to bring these disparate groups (and more) together to report news which is of interest to all. This is an ambitious project but we feel certain that in the long term we can achieve success.
