Hello everyone!

This is Jay from the Philadelphia IMC.  Many of you probably know me 
through the new-imc at indymedia.org list, the working group that helps 
aspiring IMCs go through the process of joining the Indymedia network.

I was going through some of my records this evening and realized how many 
exciting developments there have been in Indymedia and the excitement 
surrounding it in Africa.  I just wanted to make sure everyone who has 
expressed interest in forming an IMC in Africa knows about everyone 
else.  So, above is a list of the current IMCs from Africa, as well as the 
aspiring IMCs from Africa, and some information on the web about each one.

I don't know if you want to introduce yourselves to each other, but if you 
do, the contact e-mails for most of the imcs I listed are on the web pages 
I gave.  If you want to get in touch with anyone specifically and can't 
find his/her e-mail, let me know and I'll pass it along.

Of course there's always the option of opening up an 
"imc-africa at indymedia.org" list so you can all chat easily.  If anyone 
wants to do that, go to "http://newlist.indymedia.org" and fill out the 
form, and/or send a message to "listwork at indymedia.org".
