Subject: [IMC-Tech] new imc questions

Hi,

I've been reading for the last few hours about setting up an IMC. We're
having our first group meeting next week, and there's a lot of enthusiasm
about this project because Kansas City desperately needs a progressive media
source online.

I have my own site and work on web pages every day, but I only use HTML,
JavaScript and Java applets. I've worked with and modified ASP pages before,
but I've never created them from scratch.

As far as hosting, I don't know if the person who host my HTML site has a
UNIX server, if she'll accept StandardActive pages, etc.

My questions to you guys are: is it that hard to learn StandardActive (it
looks like most of the US IMCs are using it), and is it hard to find someone
to host the pages or are they pretty standard?

Thanks for any help,
Samantha
