for a long time, berkman used had severe network problems involving
an upstream router, but this seems to have been resolved.

it could use a fresh install of freebsd 6.2 -- running the python
bittorrent used at least 20x more cpu on berkman than when I run it
on a freebsd 6.x, and even seemed to crash the whole machine -- I
blame the ancient version of freebsd (4.x).  also, mysql should be
much faster with a modern freebsd.

berkman is slowly running out of space.. does anyone know if
there's room in the box to add more drives?  if so, we do have some
sitting around..

we also need a backup plan -- i was running rdiff-backups for a
while but actually i need to create a new one, as that disk died...
i have a feeling no one else is backing up berkman..
