this suggestion might not go down very well but...

why not mothball video.indymedia.org, archive all content on archive.org
(I'm sure they'd have us), then create links to all that content on a new
video.indymedia.org static page parked on berkman.

the result I think would be to prioritise the relocation of the IMC's etc
that need moving and to give new impitus to video people to sort out a new
long term solution to video provision on indymedia.

there are many people working on new solutions on video right now
utilising off the shelf open source cms's and video moduals that will have
a bigger developer base and a more sustainable future. many of these video
people and coders have moved on from indymedia (like jebba apparently)
frustration with process and the speed of development possible.

it might be possible to look at this server crisis in a permaculture way
and turn the problem into a solution.

video.indymedia.org needs new energy and this might provide the push
needed to make it happen and build a new strong diverse group of people
around making it happen.
