"hiro protagonist" from imc andorra claims that the collective is alive,
see my previous email.

i definitely agree that a (static) archive of prague should be online
(and andorra if the andorrans fail to speak up and get things done).

IMHO we very much owe it to the indymedia community to post a static
archive of imc prague. It was the first central/east europe imc, and
even if it failed because it was more of a single event - IMF meeting +
protests - imc, and probably not enough a real local grassroots imc,
there was a lot of good stuff on the site.

At the moment all i see on web1 is:

/imc/dada/prague/OLD/

which is inaccessible to ordinary users (me anyway :) on ahimsa and a
one line entry about the frozen archive in

/imc/dada/prague/index.html

i would guess the number of hits would be relatively low since it's only
an archival site (google on "prague.indymedia.org" gets only 2500 pages),
so we could probably put it anywhere without adding a lot
of bandwidth pressure, provided we could generate a set of static pages.

i don't know how easy this would be with dada.

i'm going to have to look at how to migrate a dada database dump to
samizdat, so if someone could make a full database dump available,
preferably the images too, one solution which i'd be happy to contribute
to (e.g. few weeks time scale, to get it done well before the 1 May deadline),
would be to make it available through a samizdat frontend with publishing
turned off.

But if someone has an alternative archiving idea, please speak up - i'll
happily avoid doing the work if someone else wants to/will do it.
