sooner the better.

In principle, updating axxs.org should not disrupt borg. However, in
practice, i imagine that disruptions could happen, based on the
principle "assume something will go wrong when you
change/update/upgrade the system and that it will take several weeks
at least to get reports and and correct the most obvious bugs and/or
damaged functionality".

So having a few weeks between finishing the new install and the summit
would be good.

Regarding IP's, if people want to have ssl services, then AFAIK it would
make life a lot easier for users to have individual IPs for every service.
As you can see from:

https://torun.indymedia.org
https://japan.axxs.org:441
https://venezuela-centro.axxs.org:442

and the lock/unlock icons, the one-IP solution i found requires users to
either implicitly or explicitly type port numbers in their URLs. This is
not user-friendly.

Would individual IPs be worth the extra cost? i really have no idea and
don't want to pressure people who are contributing cash... i'm just saying
that AFAIK there could be a good use for that. Someone who knows more
about ssl and an alternative solution soon to be implemented by
apache and/or openssl people is welcome to correct/update/upgrade this
statement.

This also is unlikely to affect my own maintenance work, since the 3
indymedia/samizdat sites are happy on borg and AFAIK there's no reason
to shift them to the other server.
