Hey all,

This is concerning coordinating coverage for mayday.
If you haven't worked with us before but wanted to-may
day is agreat time to start, jsut email this list with
how you might want to participate.

or, use the wiki!

I put sophia in with a ? on the current immigrants
issues story.(on the wiki) We can also pull a story
from chicago on the history of haymarket so that's
covered and could run early, like tomorrow even. It
would be great if Dave and Sofia's stories went up
leading up to the event, building momentum. Then we
have this great feeder story ++ on the day of.

There will be a national story at the us site most
probably. linking us and all the other sites accross
the country. I am campaigning for them to include a
few international links as well to reflect the
immigrant angle, plus how this is an international
holiday everywhere but here, where it was born.

THings we still need:

-More notetakers for the feeder story, this could and
should be everybody that will be there- it's really
easy just mark observations about what's going on,
take down quotes and mark times for all of it. This
can be done with audio and video too

-maybe one more video camera (we have sophia and
petrina already-you guys should talk some point so
you're covering different aspects and not following
each other around, but what do I know about it!)

-Someone who will package the video (put the graphics
on) and deliver it in NO TIME to indymedia TV. Tim has
agreed to edit, but could probably use help there too.
It would be phenomenal if we could have mayday
coverage playing that tuesday on CCTV and SCAT, and
audio in time for what's left and Mr.Grebe.

-an expediter would be good too- this is someone who
tries to push our coverage on other orgs like the TV
stations, other newspapers (especially the small ones)
this includes writing photos video and audio. sounds
daunting, but it's like you do what you can, any
accomplishment you make is huge for us since we've
never done it before.

-A dispatch person for our up to the minute coverage
on the day, so someone who will be at home or
elsewhere at a computer and reachable by phone. Those
of us with cellphones can call in reports, these
reports could be recorded with a little gadget I have
for use in the feeder story.

-Pete
