Saturday July 19th

No Attack on Iran!
Event begins in Arlington Center (near Starbucks, Mass. Ave and Medford St.) at 10 AM
and moves to Porter Sq.!

10am: Begin with a vigil and music in Arlington  Center.  Bring signs and banners focused on Iran

11am: Brass Band leads us on a march from Arlington Center to Porter Square.  Bring drums, kazoos, etc., for the march.

Noon: Gathering and speaker at Porter  Square (near T-station).

Some of us may go afterwards to ARTBEAT in nearby Davis Square, for listening, leafleting  -  and snacks!

Background:

U.S. officials say Israel is mounting a "full court press" to get the Bush Administration to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities. The United States is currently conducting covert operations against Iran. Congress is considering a resolution endorsing a U.S. air, sea and land blockade of Iran in violation of international law. In June Israeli jets conducted a military exercise over the Eastern Mediterranean, and on July 8 and 10 Iran test-fired missiles.

At a time when voices calling for real diplomacy and negotiations are being silenced, it is up to us to speak out clearly against another illegal war, which would be a catastrophe for all involved.
