Help record the Boston Social Forum!

Boston IndyMedia will provide blank tapes or discs to you, or exchange your recordings for blanks. The Boston Social Forum documentation project needs your footage or sound recordings. Your work, in collaboration with the Boston Independent Media Center, will provide the widest range of media coverage during the Forum events.

The Boston Independent Media Center is working with the Boston Social Forum (BSF), U-Mass Boston’s Media and Technology Program, and dozens of local independent audio and video media makers to document and archive these progressive events. Your contribution to this project are welcome! If you would like to work with this collaborative group when you arrive at the BSF please stop by the IndyMedia desk at the Taylor Media Center when you arrive at the forum.

IndyMedia will be helping to coordinate independent coverage of as many events as possible during the three day forum. The IndyMedia desk at the Taylor Center will be staffed with an IMC volunteer to help coordinate coverage by providing a: schedule of events with expected indy coverage, nearby Internet/computer access for participants in this project (for IndyMedia-affiliated and independent audio/videographers), a campus telephone, information about how to contribute to the Boston Social Forum archive.

All footage captured by this group of independent media folks will be donated to the Boston Social Forum's non-profit archive project. Donated footage will be used by the Boston Social Forum and the Boston Independent Media Center for non-profit use. If you have any questions about how you can get involved, stop by the IMC desk during the Boston Social Forum to introduce yourself to the project.

     Thank you!

(Our appologies for cross-postings!)
