Oh well. the second union link has a few bullet points about some
Carcieri's related proposals though it doesn't say which have bene
enacted.

The Bill itself has some interesting findings presented, for example:

1-15 (3) A report published by Bryant University and funded by the department of human

1-16 services documents that child care subsidies are an economic development investment that pays

1-17 for itself in real dollars, returned to the government through taxes on earnings, employment, and

1-18 the child care industry, such that every dollar invested in child care provides one dollar and

2-1 seventy-five cents ($1.75) to the economy.

Here's another small story from the right wing:

Here's a full Providence journal article (requires registration, but I
have a txt copy if you want):
http://www.projo.com/news/content/projo_20050324_24child.2533d4a.html

from the ProJo article:

Last April, the state Labor Relations Board touched off a
political firestorm when it ruled that the women were so heavily
regulated that they were state employees, with the right to
      unionize and demand state benefits.

There's also a Providence Phoenix article from February:

I think this could be a stronger article, but his facts seem to check,
and as we've seen noone else is covering it.

relevent google searches;

I think we should work toward centering it, anyone have a graphic?
