[Boston-editorial] Boston IMC Named "Organization of the Year" by CCTV

Hey all,

Not to jump the gun on this, but keep an eye out on the mail.  I've
recently heard that CCTV has named Boston Indymedia "Organization of the
Year."  I don't know if it's bad form to announce this before receiving it
via the list but they did snail mail it and I just want to make sure it is
received.

I for one am completely flattered that an org like CCTV would grant us
such an award.  Obviously this comes after a hard year of organizing and
public visibility during national and local events, so we owe a debt of
thanks to the community, other local affinity groups, and IMC volunteers
past and present.  Oh, and God.  Because big stars always thank God for
some reason.

They're also looking for a person or two to stop by their annual meeting
on April 25th to accept this award.  I'll leave the details to the letter
itself, though if someone could let us know more about it when it reaches
the office, please let us know.

We should get started on a press release I guess.. any takers to get that
started?

Phew.  That just made my week. :)
