I'd like to suggest this article to be featured
in the center column. It's short but well written and
I can't find it published anywhere else on the
internet - that generally implies that it's original
content and not copyrighted anywhere. Any objections
to centering this?

Also, about the Sally Shears hidden post. I have
no objections if someone else wants to unhide the
article, as long as they provide an explaination for
why it was hidden, then unhidden. If folks have been
editing the site recently, tho, there are a ton of
trolls (or one very persistent one, as I suspect) who
are posting and counter-posting with the same general
tone and language. I assume that this posting had that
particular troll at work on the article.
Also, Jamie... In case you're wondering about the
use of the term "disruptive", it was *deliberately*
chosen as a term that could be used to describe
anything from an obviously disruptive post
rabble-rousing or creating an aggressive environment,
to something less obvious but just as subversive in
creating an environment for trolls to disrupt actual
discussion on our site. As John Grebe often described
in discussion on this, while we at the IMC are
providing a public forum with as much a chance at free
speech as possible, we are also hosting and promoting
a forum on our own NEWSwire for NEWS and related
discussion. Personal vendettas against the IMC, or
against the progressive movement in general, or really
anything that we as a collective don't think should be
on the newswire can be taken down if we don't want
them up. Simply put, we're providing a public service
to the public, and welcoming them to come join us if
they are interested in working within our mission and
principles of unity, at the same time that we are
trying to promote alternative media. Not personal
disputes or soapboxing - independent alternative media
that, as many people including Matt, Pete, Sofia, Rob,
myself and others have agreed, is as professional,
well-written, interesting and relevant as possible.
Uuugh. Long day at work, long evening on the rock
climbing wall. Time for bed!
