I agree there is a very fine line between censorship and hiding "empty" posts. Who am I to say what's empty? More than anything, I think that shutting down one troll (such as Veteran) because of his views will just entice him to be even more disruptive.
On the plus side, I've noticed some of our other readers have adopted his name, to post, such as:
"The Iraqi people are not horrible! They are a great and proud people who have been oppressed for many, many years. The DO NOT need to be kept "under control". They have the same rights as you and I."
That's pretty funny. I guess we can just keep an eye on it.
