[IMC-Boston-Editorial] idea for Dispatch list

I concur with Svea & Jon that the Dispatch List should
be publicly available to all. It would be fabulous for
other journalists (indy & corporate, not that they
would look) to have access to this.

I disagree that online decisions among active members
are counter to the idea of consensus. It's a matter of
being sensitive to everyone's time available,
especially because we're all volunteers.

One reason, I think, for low participation at our
meetings is because we spend valuable time debating
issues like this instead of actually planning for
action and media coverage.

I rather make good use of our communication online and
spend time wisely at meetings on critical issues.

Consensus is not just about making "absolute
decisions" where everyone agrees, but rather gives
each of us the responsibility of being conscious and
respectful of the rest of the groups' wishes &
concerns.
