looks like it is based on the new site's current design scheme, I've
been a bit out of things, are we staying with the blue/white theme or
was that just the default?
So my general thoughts:
The web server should be available to all working groups to publicize
their activities.
I don't belive it is the place of the webitorial group to impose
anything on other groups in this area other than defining technical
issues like available software and the URL. I do think we should have
a coherent "look and feel", but to be a policy this would need to be
decided at the genral meeting. This is probably a non issue here as
Nichole has clearly tried to fit into existing design.
currently http://boston.indymedia.org/video leads to an XML page (rss
maybe?) that doesn't format in my browser, and seems to have really
stale media links (april/may 2004), attempting to access the media
results in a "permission denied" error.
Based on this I'd recommend recycling that URL on the current server
with a style to match the new site, starts to get people used to the
up coming look and saves work as the video folks wouldn't need to re
do the page when we cut over.
