question for discussion

First, commendations on the salvo because I thnk this
has been more of a dialogue than a clash of wills and
that's always good.
Second, I'm glad at least that people seem to be open
to the idea of job listings. If any of you get Chuck
Turner's Daylight network you know that it's a regular
feature there and I agree with Svea's point about new
volunteers and Jon's point about it being a good way
to reel in non-profits to our circle.
It's also a good way to do something nice for the
readers. Even our solid base, among the radical
community, largely seeks jobs in the non-profit
sector, jobs that have a redeeming value. Plus, we
have to be aware that much of the community we hope to
serve can be poor, or at least some of them are gonna
be job hunting.
So regardless of how this one is handled, I think we
should go case by case if we get more and create a
policy if needed (like when we're getting lots of em).
Also, when we do the new site we can consider adding
a jobs listing section and all the attending fears
that go with it. Maybe that could be a moderated
wire.
