RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman brought our party's message of freedom and opportunity to the Asian-American community in Seattle on Tuesday. This "Conversations with the Community" event is part of the Republican Party's ongoing commitment to reaching out to Asian-Americans and continuing to build the strong Republican support that President Bush enjoyed from Asian-Americans in 2004.

Chairman Mehlman stated: "President George W. Bush increased his share of the Asian Pacific American vote this past election, from 41% in 2000, to 44% in 2004, because of his Republican policies like affordable health care, education reform, immigration reform and easing the burden on small business owners, resonate with Asian Pacific Americans."
