Just FYI that there are plans at US IMC to feature national coverage  for the anniversary of Katrina (Aug 29th) and the UJP declaration of  peace and week of civil disobedience (Sept 21-28th)...  
  
  I know the IAC is planning a rally on the Katrina anniversary, so we should make sure to get an article on that:

collaborative, authored feature for.

also the immigrants rights protests planned for that "nice holiday" in 
early september - there is also one here in portland.

i am all for some mechanism to promote the sort of collaboration james 
and mathin are suggestiong. i don't know how this would happen 
technically and would love folks to make specific suggestions. its a 
bummer docs has been down for so long because we are limited in our 
ability to look at past decisions...
