For several years Matt Williams had the best "feature" system for centered articles. His standard list announcement included the title "New Feature: TITLE HERE", sometimes had a hyperlink to the new story, and the summary paragraph to let everyone who might not have the time to read the article a brief intro to see if they had any immediate objections.
Here are some examples of his announcements, and one of mine that includes a hyperlink...

I wholeheartedly endorse anyone and everyone who decides to feature a story to follow this type of procedure - it really helps us come to a quick decision if there are any disagreements (unlike this disagreement, which I haven't even had a chance to look at because, among other things and as Sharpie pointed out, I don't know which article was in hidden/unhidden because there was no title provided, no hyperlink in the announcement, and I didn't even check to see if it was currently hidden or not hidden because it took too much time to do so...
So, if Sharpie's comment wasn't enough for a formal proposal, I'll insert one here!
I propose that any New Features must be announced to the list with the article Title, a short summary or the piece (taken from the article), a hyperlink to the article, and perhaps a short description from the Editor as to why they decided to center.
What say you?
