sounds too easy, we're not logging referrers, so I can't be certain
this will help (it seems really dumb for a spam bot to set a referrer,
but noone said spammers were smart).

I've implemented that (in teh apache conf, not .htaccess), so maybe if
we're lucky (or you're lucky I suppose) it is a magic bullet.
