hi guys,

Not sure if anyone is interested in covering the
anti-war protest this Saturday. I've heard is supposed
to be pretty huge. See:

http://boston.indymedia.org/newswire/display/43298/index.php

Also, there's a community speakout among the black
community in Roxbury this Saturday. We've been asked
to film it (how exciting!). I want to know if anyone
who's not going to the protest Sat. would be
interested in helping me film the speak out in
Roxbury. It's from 10:00-2:00 pm

cheers,
Sofia
----------------------------------
There is a very important event on Saturday in the
Black community that we were wondering if you would
like to film, both for your show and also for the
people who are organizing the meeting.

The theme is the struggle against AIDS in the Black
community and the struggle for funding for healthcare
and AIDS treatment and linking it to all the $ being
funneled to the war in Iraq. Will also address
Katrina and the struggle against racism, etc.

It is at Rev Dickerson's church in Dorchester. He is
the pastor for some of the family members of
Somerville 5. Very dynamic person. he will speak and
also another Black reverend who is gay. Along with
Chuck Turner, Felix Arroyo and Charles Yancey: all
city
councilors of color in Boston. So as you can see has
a very prominent program. The IAC and S5 will be
there with a table and we also have a speaker.

Rev. Dickerson and the organizers are searching for
someone that could film the whole event for them, so I
thought of you and was wondering if you wanted to do
double duty: film for a show and film for them.
Please let me know as soon as you can.

Also, if you can't do it, maybe you could recommend
someone else that might be interested.
Thanks so much.
Take care,
Phebe

Will send you a copy of flyer when I get it.
