Santa Cruz IMC, and anyone else using dega =)
I was just messing around, after a long irresponsible vacation from doing IMC
server work. I noticed that Santa Cruz in a feature on M Moore
http://santacruz.indymedia.org/index.php
and in an article here
http://santacruz.indymedia.org/newswire/display/5995/index.php
are using references to media files that are on dega.
These are hard-coded as part of the article.
I don't know if they were available on paranode ( the media server ) when the
articles and feature were authored, but they are available now.
Please use links to paranode (images.indy) when linking to any multimedia file
within an article whenever possible to prevent using unnecessary bandwidth
from dega. (keep it free! =)
For instance, in the case of the moore feature, it links to the following
file:
http://santacruz.indymedia.org/usermedia/audio/13/Michael_Moore_10-19-03.mp3
which is on dega.
the following file ( which I assume is identical)
http://images.indymedia.org/imc/santacruz/audio/13/Michael_Moore_10-19-03.mp3
is on paranode
please use paranode whenver possible
thanks much
if you have questions, please ask this list and we will do our best to answer
them quickly (although I admit my best sucks sometimes)
