perfect. i was finally convinced that squid was more trouble than it was
worth.

apparently folks are doing some serious retooling of dada's mysql
heaviness and cache-unfriendliness in preparation for the RNC. let's 
hope they have better luck than static dada, so we can apply their 
results!

we seem to have a full partition on /, which I'm cleaning up now. Also 
trashing squid, and about to remove static dada for hamilton.
