Sorry about the dupes, I'm trying to get word about this out to everyone I
can ASAP to soften the blow of the conventions on our servers... Notes
follow:
new indy server online near dc
3G intel cpu, 1G ram, hot swap scsi, raid 5 i think
a good chunk of bandwidth, essentially unlimited burst capability but
except for special occasions i'm guessing it should be below
50kilobytes/sec. i expect this amount to grow with time.
intended usage is to migrate sites from zero that still aren't back
online, and to take other relatively resource hungry sites, including
boston (and perhaps new york) during the big US party conferences, and to
help stabilize load and response time on dissent, deskaheh, and dega.
details when i get the thing up and online (within the week, I'd expect)
Please contact me if you can help admin or have a good usage for this box.
Cheers,
