This was recently changed to forward to another address, so he should be
at least receiving the mails.

I found that one of the standard dada cron jobs is to dump the database
to a file (cron.daily/mysqlbackup.php).

-bash-2.05b$ ls -l `locate _dump.sql.gz`
 1187938 Jan 30 00:01 bigmuddyimc_dump.sql.gz
     109 Sep 1 01:30 hamiltondada_dump.sql.gz
17704409 Jan 30 00:02 nzdada_dump.sql.gz

Looks like the last backup was September 1 2004, and it is very small,
not even a real backup. I have no experience with dada, perhaps finn can
tell you how to turn this on. Once it is being dumped, off-site backups
would be a simple rsync/wget away.

I also note that dada has a push_to_remote.php script, but I think maybe
that is for images.indymedia.org/paranode. Any comments on this finn?
