[Deskaheh-sysadmin] spam attack on aotearoa indymedia

hiya,

my name is rosie and i'm a member of the aotearoa/new zealand indymedia 
collective.
 
our site has been victim to a spam attack from online gambling 
advertisers for the last 12 hours or so and it was suggested to me by 
one of the irc #tech geeks that someone who had physical access to our 
server might be able to help us block this spammer.

unfortunately i don't have administrator access to our site, but i'm 
working on trying to get hold of the person that does.

if you can help, we'd be extremely grateful!
