[Deskaheh-sysadmin] Server status?

Deskaheh is in Buffalo, NY, and yeah I'm in Washington DC, unfortunately
about 8 hours away by auto. I tried giving John C from Buffalo a call, but
he hasn't been able to return the call. It looks like deskaheh was up, but
dissent (and perhaps some other machines?) were down, so it was
inaccessible to the network.

I'll let Buffaloians fill in further details.
