[Deskaheh-sysadmin] Two quick database questions

Hello all,

I have two quick questions.

First of all, where are the databases located? I want to run the 
myisamchk command that someone suggested, but that command requires the 
path info, and I don't have it and don't know where to find it.

Also, how can I access the database dumps/backups? Someone else at our 
IMC has set up a test server and we want to transfer our data to the 
test server to see if it will be a viable option for local hosting of 
our site.
