[IMC-Dissent-admin] traffic freakouts

Hi,

It looks as if Deskaheh is having trouble serving data at peak times,
dues to excessive traffic on the T1 [this has been brought up in the
past, but I was never sure if it was excessive traffic as there was
always other brokeness on the server]. Load seems fine [occasionally
spiking to 1.20, nothing to be too worried about], but when traffic goes
over 75k/sec we start to loose httpd processes, I'm guessing because
these timeout? Sunday/Monday/Tuesday were all pretty bad.

Take a look at ..

Traffic:
http://deskaheh.nysindy.org/mrtg/deskaheh_eth.html

Load:
http://deskaheh.nysindy.org/mrtg/deskaheh_load.html

Httpd processes:
http://deskaheh.nysindy.org/mrtg/deskaheh_httpd_proc.html

I'm trying to get content mirroring working on the dada sites
[http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/deskaheh-sysadmin/2005-March/0305-pd.html],
and the mir imgs are already mirrored on a different server.

Is there mirroring happening on other computers at the new office? Any
other ideas?

seeya,
finn
