I missed to add that the problem which occurred on Feb 17th had occurred
before twice, as you can see on the archives of the relevant mailing lists:

These occurrences, however, only spanned a couple emails, not 15 000
emails which sarai received on Feb 17th until we were able to stop it
from receiving them (but they were likely still sent).
