                  WSF-ASF Caracas 2006: deadline for editing registered activities is December 18th

                  During the last Hemyspheric Council meeting, which took place from December 7th to 10th, 2005, the 2,200 activities registered at the Americas Social Forum and Polycentric World Social Forum in Caracas were analyzed.

                  It was decided that 18th December, 2005 is the deadline for organizations to edit their activities registration form in order to show the results of articulations made in the beginning of December. This phase will allow merging and fusing of activities, deleting activities and defining its pending aspects. It is possible to modify the activity's title, objective, program, entities proposing the activity and speakers. It is also possible to canceal activities that are not going to take place by some reason. It is a moment in which the equality policy recommendations should be considered (click here to see).

                  In order to edit already registered activities, organizations must:

                  a) Access their registration form at the website www.wsf2006.org, using the primary contact person's username and password.
                  b) Afterwards, click on "Edit activities" on the left menu. Then, check on the screen the title of the activity that will be edited and click on the word "Edit" next to it.
                  c) Make the necessary changes in all desired fields (title, description, partnership in the activity, speakers, besides data on logistics, among other fields) and identify if the thematic terrains and areas are the correct ones. After the edition, it is necessary to click on the "Send" button, which is located at the bottom of the form.

                  If two organizations have registered the same activty twice, they must get in touch in order to decide which registration will be kept and which will be deleted.

                  In order to cancel an activity, the same steps mentioned above must be followed, but instead of clicking on the Edit button, click on the "Deactivate" column button and after in Update. The activty will be kept on the list, but it will not be considered.

                  As for artistic activities, which means, the ones that will developed in spaces which will not be seminars nor workshops rooms, it is necessary to specify better their technical needs in order to allow the organizing committee to evaluate the possibility of attending the demands according to existent conditions.

                  Attention: 1) editing must be done using the same language in which the form has been previously filled. This means: if the interface chosen to fill in the form was English, we recommend editing to be always done in the same interface; 2) the changes made after 12 a.m of December18th will not be on the program.
