Hello All
This makes me feel really optimistic as much of my own
experience in Africa especially within rural
communities is the whole technical aspect.
Access to electricity, alternative generators, solar
energy etc.
Computers/radios and the like are not a problem but
energy is a big question.
Also the burning issue is rural verses urban/city
access.
Another issue is of course continuity and financial
maintence when we all leave and how the communities
will be supported/empowered in finding the money to
continue the purchase of electricity or current.
Absolutely important is the long term committment to
sustainability.
We have to offer train the trainer of local
cmmunities.
Just a few thoughts that emerged from a small
contribution of experience we had in Sennegal and
then in other small pockets of Cameroon.
Keep on tracking.
