Dear Glenda and All,
TUC Radio here.
It's good to hear from you all. I'm very interested in climate change
and the South/North issues involved.
There are two limits. I am unable to travel anywhere due to my weekly
schedule and the fact that I am the only person doing all aspects of
work for TUC Radio.
The other issue has to do with the way I'm financing TUC Radio (by CD
sales and donations and my own labor only - no grants or other support).
When I did my six week series on climate change I ran deeply into debt.
Even though I received very many letters of praise only four people
bought any CDs for six whole weeks. I'm telling you this to explain that
it is not disinterest that makes it hard for me to undertake any big
documentary type projects. The same happened with my recent series on
the "resurgence" of nuclear power.
Don't misunderstand me - I am perfectly happy with the way TUC Radio is
financed. But there are a few things I wish I could do - such as work
with you very closely - that are impossible due to factors outside my
control.
I will still do everything in my power to help distribute audio reports
or documentaries you surely will produce.
