explore-AIDC-SA Brian also has contacts with the BUSH
Radio people.
1. Should access to materials not readily be
available or just too expensive in Kenya there is
constsant contact with sister projects between SA &
Kenya-terres des hommes who have projects in both
countries. -Irene Bush (working with the empowerment
of young people)
2. terres des hommes also has close contact with ACORD
- originally UK-have a base in Kenya and who can also
via its extensive network of projects across Africa
help support material and technical needs- why not
explore the links.
3. Here in Switzerland we have radio Lora who have for
years not only conducted workshops but have a concrete
and solid partnership/s with many other local free
lance radios stations acting out of political activist
sectors. Germany is also in this network. (Val-we have
a common friend in Suttgart-GEE) worth a contact as
these people have experience in conduction radio
workshops too.
4. There is also a local radio station in Califonia
who for over 40 years have been operating and with
the basic equipment constructed locally.
TUC RADIO Copies to them.

5. the whole discussion in around energy still needs
to be explored. While it is true there are solar
powered projects active in and around a number of
countries in Africa-this source needs to be explored
in terms of being organised to support not only local
urban communities but especially rural communities. It
is still hell of expensive for local comsumtion.

WHO OUT THERE IS IN CONTACT WITH LOCAL
PROJECTS/PROGRAMMES-GET CHATTING-SOLAR POWERED
ANYTHING

Take care
Warm regards
Glenda
