[Imc-africa] current equipment costs - to be purchased upon approval

hello all, now that funds are being disbursed from x-y and imc finance, it is
time to secure the radio equipment for the two stations in kenya.  i would like
to order this as soon as is possible, but want approval from the group before i
do so.  the proposal was to have the funds from x-y disbursed directly to
prometheus radio project, who would then purchase the following:


2 x PLL Pro transmitter 4 Watt version kit           £159.90 sterling
2 x 40 watt amplifier module 4 watt drive            £149.90 sterling
2 x Maxmod mono limiter kit                          £65.90  sterling
2 x 10 amp power supply                              £119.90 sterling
Total goods cost                                     £495.60 sterling
Shipping by DHL to the USA (2 days)                  £70.00  sterling
This will bring the total cost up to                 £565.60 sterling


Also, there will be these expenses for equipment from the states as well:
SWR / Wattmeter, Diamond SX-200R (2)                 $90
RF Bulkhead jacks, Amphenol SO-239 jacks (6)	     $15
RF Connector, RF Connection PL-259 connectors (10)   $20
Weatherproofing, Coax-Seal CS-104 Waterproof tape    $10


Totals (US dollars as of 12-13-06):                  $1372 for two stations


keep in mind this is for the initial purchase of transmitter equipment only.
there will be other expenses that will need to be covered once in nairobi.
these will include:

50 to 100 feet of coaxial cable
10 to 20 foot mast
guy cable or rope
copper or aluminum tubing for antenna
assorted mounting hardware for antenna and tower

(1) audio mixer
(2) cassette decks
(1) cd player
(2 to 4) microphones
assorted cables
assorted stands for microphones
possibly other expenses

this is estimated at around $500 to $600 per station.

please bring up any concerns immediately!  i plan on moving forward with this as
