Hi Danielle, Jason and imc-africa,
This is Jay from the Philly IMC. Danielle, we know each other, but
Jason, I don't know if we've met. In any case, hi hi hi!
I'm so glad to hear you two are going to be at the WSF! I'm sorry I
can't join you, but, as I'm sure you've seen through being on this
list for just a little while, there will be tremendous things
happening at the IMC in Nairobi and some wonderful organizers coming
from Kenya and around the world.
As for how you can provide support, in the short run funding is
clearly key.. I know this is more of an imc-finance list matter than
an imc-africa list matter, but Jason, if you and Prometheus are able
to connect to exchange bank account numbers and whatnot to enable a
money transfer, the faster we're able to get the money allotted by
imc-finance to us for radio equipment into the Prometheus account the
better. I don't know if you're waiting for some kind of more
official statement from imc-finance working group before making that
move. If you are, let me know and I'll do my absolute best to pester
enough people to make that happen.
Happy holidays all, whatever you celebrate, and if you don't
celebrate anything, happy non-celebration to you!
Jay
