[Imc-africa] hardware / print / logo

hi,

some practical questions:

(nobody contacted me yet about steffi in berlin, so i assume this
information is not valid anymore?)

- i understand that there is a lack of hardware. i'm thinking about
trying to 'find' some and ask people to take it along to nairobi.

  + what exactly is needed?
+ is there any experience with taking computers or parts as a normal
flight passenger? i'm looking for very practical tips on how to pack
them, are there extra cost to be expected..?
  + how do customs react?

of course i can't promise anything, we don't happen to have this pile of
unused computers to take from ;), also i have no idea how people will
react if i ask them to take these 15" monitors along, but i want to try
anyway.

- is anyone working yet on concrete steps of how to do the print
editions / newsletters? i was thinking that it may be helpful to prepare
templates in advance that then 'only' have to be filled with content.
i'm not a good graphic designer myself, but unless people object i could
ask some others.

+ any ideas how long these newsletter should be?
+ do we have talented designers for a header?

- do we have a logo, or banners yet? i was thinking to start promoting
the imc in nairobi more, for all different kids of things like
translations, donations... and a banner would be nice. do you know
whether anyone has thought about that yet?

- last but not least: i'm sure we all collect different sorts of
information on the wsf. i'd like to propose to do this collectively -
either on the wiki or on a website. sorry for my ignorance, but.. which
website will we be using for the coverage of the wsf - kenya.indymedia.org?
