Hi Peter,
Oscailt is the chosen platform as it can be easily taught to people and also
deployed. The current version is the Bomb!!
I've just downloaded Audocity, and It seems to be very addictive, 
thanks for the
tip.
Equipment wise (recorder), we have a Sony(Net MD).
Our 2 DV Camcoder cameras and 2 servers were confisticated by the uganda state
last week.
We have learnt from that experience, never to keep all our equipment in one
place.
