1. Preparatory Consultation to WSF 2007 in French and Spanish!
The preparatory consultation to WSF 2007 is already available in French. To access it enter the site http://consultation.wsf2007.org/ and click the button "Français", in the top-right corner of the screen. The Spanish and English pages are also available. The consultation is the first step in the organization of the 7th WSF program, which will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from January 20 to 25, 2007. The consultations are useful to map actions, campaigns and contests in which those entities, organizations, social movements and networks that participate on WSF are engaged. Attention! When is the WSF 2007 set to?
From January 20 to 25, 2007.
Where will the o 7th WSF take place?
The event will take place in three sites of the city of Nairobi, in Kenya: at Kenyatta International Conference Center, at Uhuru Park and at Central Park. See the map in the link: http://www.socialforum.or.ke/images/wsfterritorialmap.gif
Is it planned to happen a WSF organization of groups for traveling to Nairobi?
The WSF office and the Kenyan Organization Committee will not be responsible for managing the arrangements of any traveling group. The entities and individuals registered in WSF 2007 shall organize the travel themselves.
What about the facilities? Will there have solidarity and alternative accommodation?
Each participant (organization representatives or individuals) is responsible for the arrangements of facilities for his own or his companions. The Kenyan Organization Committee has published a list of hotels in the city. See it in the link: http://www.socialforum.or.ke/hotel.xls. There is no information on will there have solidarity and alternative accommodation yet.
Will there have a Youth Camp?
The Kenyan Organization Committee has not published major information on that.
Will there have some financing for the travel to Nairobi?
The WSF office will not finance travelling services for individuals, groups or organizations.

What is the preparatory consultation to WSF 2007?
The preparatory consultation to WSF 2007 is a consultation about actions, campaigns and contests in which organizations, entities and networks that participate on WSF are engaged. The consultation is the first step on the organization of the WSF 2007 program. Attention! This registration is not valid for the Nairobi event. What is a self-organizing activity?
A self-organizing activity is that one organized by entities registered in the WSF 2007 and that agree with the WSF Charter of Principles. This means that the proponent organizations shall define a title for the activity, a type (seminars, hands-on, conferences, etc), the speakers, as well as be in charge of convoking them. Therefore they must provide all needed facilities for the activity can properly take place, like data-show equipment, slides software, etc. The Kenyan Organization Committee will offer the space where these activities can happen and publication in the official program.
Where can I register activities?
It is not possible to register activities yet. In September it will be available a specific online tool in order to allow the registrations. Please, wait.
Who can register activities?
Only organizations can propose activities. Individuals can not do that.
Where can I register organizations, individuals, volunteers and press members?
Registrations are not open yet. In September there will have a specific site for registration to Nairobi event. Please, wait.
