You may want to try contacting Sascha Meinrath at UCIMC 
<sascha at ucimc.org> directly to look for extra (non-imc) funding. Last I 
heard, Sascha was 'managing' some other non-imc 'global south' funding 
'foundations' based at UCIMC. Or at least he could point you in the 
right direction.
