Hello all,

I tried several times to participate in the chat this morning to no
avail. I could sign on and read what everyone else was saying but I
could not post any comments myself. Not sure why. I used two different
browsers, Safari and Explorer, and neither worked for posting comments
although both signed on and accessed other's comments so I was able to
follow the gist of the chat.

With regards to PayPal, for over a year, Food Not Bombs has had a
fundraising campaign via PayPal, Give a Buck for Peace. We ask visitors
to our website to make a $1 contribution via PayPal (it can be more if
they want). Last year, during the Katrina disaster, we raised quite a
bit of money this way. Along the way, the FBI made PayPal shut us down
for about a month because we are not technically a "non-profit"
organization but we were able to prove to PayPal that we were doing
great work in New Orleans so they reinstated us despite the FBI.

I have no special contact with funding organizations. I do know some
wealthy individuals. I am asking them to consider making a donation but
these are long shots. I will do what I can.

While I do feel it is fair for my travel costs to be covered (since I
am waiving my usual fee for workshops), I am willing to make the
commitment to be there even if I have to pay travel costs myself. I am
also willing to be one of the last attendees/presenters funded.

I am interested in learning more about the vision of this gathering
regarding workshops and the overall relationship to the WSF. Will the
IMC convergence workshops be before or concurrent with the WSF? If
concurrent, will WSF participants be invited to attend IMC workshops?
Will there be any kind of IMC plenary or meetings or will this just be
workshops and projects? What will be my role beyond workshop presenter,
if any? How much time will I have for workshops and when, in relation
to other workshops, etc?

I'll be out-of-town for a week starting Sunday. I'm meta-facilitator
for an international professional society that uses Formal Consensus
(the model I developed) for the last 10 years. This year, they are
meeting in Scottsdale, AZ in the US. [Last year, they were in
Budapest!) I will probably not have access to email until I return
after Nov. 20th. I will respond then.
